The List vs. Time

Welcome to the Fall semester! Well, week 3 of it. It's scary how it’s my last year.

Starting off, I wasn’t writing much. This semester took me so much more time to get settled. I started the first week with little groceries and a few things hanging on the wall (and the things already on the wall were falling off). But now I’m dying to write. It’s like the creativity has kicked into overdrive. The only thing holding me back is time (and lots of homework).

The list of projects is growing, and I’m enjoying the amount of juggling I’m doing. I find that the more things I work on at once, the less I will run out of inspiration. If one piece just isn’t coming out anymore, I move on to the next. This way I don’t lose my creative rush and still be productive without pushing myself to write something I’m just not in the mood for. That being said, here’s the current run of projects, academic, personal, or otherwise.

· Wandering arrangement for Orchestra

· String Quartet 3rd movement

· A new orchestra piece, not yet to be revealed

· Lots of jazz for various ensembles. Again, the theme is not yet to be revealed

Not included in this list are some other little ideas floating in the space above my head that I’m sure will come down eventually.
