The Ball is Rolling

Hey y’all,

Not to pat myself on the back, but I feel like I’ve been crushing it this week. I knocked out a bunch of assignments. I worked on updating my portfolio and resumes. And I purchased my domain name, so I now have a professional-looking website.

Another big accomplishment since you last heard from me, I finished my string quartet. I absolutely love this piece; it was so fun to write. Now, I’m trying to make the decision on if this is a stand-alone piece. It is definitely strong enough to be on its own. However, I think there could be a benefit to having more movements. There might be a bigger story I have to uncover with this piece. So, I’m working on a second movement.

My big band jazz piece is taking some shape. I still feel a little lost in it, but it sounds like it’s getting better as I work on it.

As for my films, I just finished a sketch of one film. I did get one of the films that I was a contender for. That one I haven’t gone too far with. But I’m so excited to get started. I have many ideas.
