My First Ad

As promised, I will be talking about my experience with my first Facebook ad post. I decided to turn my post about the Blog launch and had it run for 6 days with the goal of gaining more website visitors. The ad cost $6 and I thought the payout was pretty good. About 50% of my website viewers were unique (according to Wix), which means they have never been on the site before. As you can see in the cover photo, I had reached 1,691 people on Facebook. 19 engaged and followed the link to my website (according to Facebook). Even though I considered the ad somewhat successful, Wix has tracked that most of my website traffic comes from Instagram, a direct link, or Wix itself.

Enough with business. This week’s composition update is a bit of a secret. I start working on a new piece for a challenge in a Facebook group I am in (Composer Challenges). The challenge is to write the music for a spiderman movie. I picked this challenge rather late but I am really excited about how the process is going so far. The piece is due on January 20th so I will update you on social media or in the blog about the upload and result of the contest.

A little school update: due to the recent spike in Covid-19 cases, my first week of classes has been pushed till the first week of February (I was supposed to start January 18th). So, school blogs and updates will have to be delayed until then.
