Defeating Writer's Block pt. 1

Hi everyone! I hope you’re enjoying your new year.

This week, I made a lot of progress on an all-female acapella choir piece I am writing for a contest. I had started this work in early November but have been stuck on a transitional section for the past few weeks (was not posted on Instagram). I decided to take a break from it and do some research so I could find inspiration on how I wanted this section to sound. I really needed something to build into the final line of the piece. After lots of listening, I found the sound I was going for and got to writing. I am glad to say that I have less than 30 seconds less to finish on this piece before I can begin editing and finalizing my composition.

I also placed my first ad on Facebook when I uploaded my first blog post. I’ll be reporting the results of it in next week’s post.

I thought it would be a nice idea to include my social media statistics at the end of my blog posts, this way I can track my improvement and audience. And this may interest those who are trying to grow their platform.
