Sh*t's Getting Real

Hey y’all,

The semester is filling up quickly. I started tutoring for the music theory classes and already have 4 students. I also took up jazz this semester. I’m doing lessons and playing piano in the Naz combo.

My classes this year are a lot more demanding too. I’m taking a piano literature class (where I’m the only undergrad student) which has lots of reading and listening assignments each week. I’m also taking a digital composition class. It’s one of my favorite classes but does require more work outside than my other courses. I’m not complaining…just stressed…yet very excited.

Composition-wise, I’ve been working on my entry for the Nazareth College Annual Composition Competition. This year is for wind symphony or chamber winds. I’ve been having fun working on this piece. Harry is helping explore different ideas and techniques that are bringing this piece to a different level.
