Two Years to Go

Hey, y’all!
It’s been a crazy last few weeks.
The rock band camp was my last week home (Literally. I drove up to Naz and moved in the day after it ended). I loved my time at KMAC this summer. It was a great way to spend my time. I got more teaching and business experience. I can’t wait to come back this winter and again next summer.
As you may have seen, I finished my Bridgerton score. This was actually my second one. My first attempt was more of a period-style score. I leaned into the classical, Mozart-esch style. I finished that take early, so I decided I would do another and see which one I liked better. Everyone on my Instagram voted to see a more traditional, cinematic score, so I wrote one. I ended up liking that second score more, so I submitted it. But maybe I’ll post the first attempt for y’all to see…
Finally, I just finished my first week of junior year…man time flies fast. Nazareth’s composition director, Octavio Vazquez, is on sabbatical this year, so I am studying with Haralabos (Harry) Stafilakis until his return. I am so excited about this opportunity to work with someone new and here from a different perspective. I don’t have any specific degree requirements for composition lessons this semester, so I’m free to work on whatever I want to spend my time on.
Well, that’s it for now. I’ll see y’all in a few weeks.
