It’s been a rough week.

Not only was last Friday the end of midterms week(s), it was also the day of a wind storm that caused my campus to lose power. It ended up being a huge setback for me, at least I feel more stressed because of it. I was planning on using the weekend to get a head on all of my school work, as final projects are already assigned with deadlines coming quickly. I was also going to use my time to work on my composition projects. However, because of the power, I was trying to use my devices as little as possible, since I had no way to charge them. I couldn’t use the piano in my room, as it requires power. And, all the dorms require swipe access. So, if I left to go to the arts center, I would be locked out of my dorm. We ended up evacuating because the emergency lighting and fire alarms were no longer working. The power was back on at midnight.
Anyway, enough complaining about my own problems. Here are some composition updates. This week I have finished a rough copy of the Chopin Nocturn I am working on. Now I have to learn it and get it ready for a performance at the end of the month. It will have plenty of tweaks along the way. I submit the final score of the Notre Dame choir piece on Friday. I have a lot of score editing to do this weekend. One of my film projects is just about done. The second one is still in the beginning stages as timing is starting to be finalized. I plan on cranking out some music for that one this weekend as well.
This blog was a little long this time around. Whoops!
