SOFA Meets SOM

It has been a very exciting week.

I had a conference on Saturday with some Rochester Institute of Technology’s School of Film and Animation students (RIT SOFA). I was able to see their presentations of their projects. I also got to present my compositions along with other composers from Nazareth College School of Music and Eastman School of Music. It was all on zoom so no screen sharing was allowed and I had to leave a link to my composition trailer. But overall, I think my presentation went well and it was a good first experience. I ended up booking two projects for the semester.

On Sunday, I had my first concert of the semester. I played cello in the symphony orchestra. Cello is my secondary instrument so I’m not very good but I enjoy it. Everyone else in the section has cello as a primary so I don’t sit very high but I do my best and have fun with it.
