Discipline Reload

As a follow-up to my rather revealing last blog, I’ve been becoming more disciplined with myself while leading up to the start of graduate school.

I have finished one practice scene so far. I plan to post it, but I want to get some peer critiques before publishing it. It was a great scene to warm myself back up with. It’s an action cue, which is something I feel more comfortable with. I have also finished up a trailer.

Contrary to the first, this clip is pushing me a bit more. It’s a horror film, a genre I’m less experienced in. The process has been rather fun though. I’ve been experimenting with a mix of live and electronic instruments. The harder part of a trailer, especially in horror, is the timing. It is a rather tedious composition to do.

In addition, I’ve started a sketch of a commission. A new and exciting project I cannot wait to dive into full force.
