Greetings from Indiana!

Hello from IU!

This weekend, I am visiting the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University Bloomington. I have an interview with the Music Scoring for Visual Media program. I’m crazy nervous but also hopeful and excited. February is the beginning of graduate applications, part 2: interviews.

With that, I’m close to finishing my commissioned piece. There are some minor details to iron out, and then I can quickly engrave the music. I hope to complete it this weekend so I can focus on some pieces I’m writing to fill out my senior recital program.

I also am working on engraving the last of my parts for my orchestra piece, Chernobyl. As you may have seen, this piece is being premiered by the Nazareth University Symphony Orchestra at the April concert. I am so excited to have this finally revealed. I will keep you updated on the rehearsal process.

Until next time,

Rita Veneziale
