TGIF!

First week of classes DONE (almost)!

I really don’t have much to say at this point. I’m actually loving all my classes so far. But I am exhausted. Being around people, all the time, after over a year of ‘distanced’ schooling, is tiring. And going back to school sounded exciting, until I remember homework. I didn’t miss that over the summer.

As far as composition projects go, I have some personal ideas in the works. I will also be working on a song cycle for my lessons. The plan is to have a total of 3 songs that work well together. I don’t do well with lyrics, so I am using poetry. My last project is for the Nazareth College annual composition competition. This year’s piece is to be written for choir. I’m throwing around a few ideas, but nothing is completely ready. But it’s okay, I have until November to complete it.
