Thank you for your interest in requesting a commission! I love collaborating and am open to all ensembles, opportunities, and ideas. Contact me to start the creative process.

My rates vary from piece to piece. When determining a price, we must take into account the ensemble/instrumentation, the time allowed to write, and the length of the piece. I'd be happy to discuss what rate would work for you/your organization.

It is a wonderful experience for the ensemble and composer to work together in preparation for the premiere performance. As the composer, the premiere must be one that reflects my vision of the music. Holding residency with the ensemble is crucial to fulfillment. This is also a great opportunity for the ensemble to learn the process of creating new work and ask questions. If you wish for me to be present at the performance, I ask that you/your organization cover my travel and lodging fees. This can all be discussed in our initial meeting and will ultimately be factored into the commission contract.
